With Christmas fast approaching (a week away...seriously) I thought I'd post some pictures from our first annual Cut Down a Live Tree tradition. The Saturday after Thanksgiving, Brandy, Virginia and I hopped into the car and drove about 45 minutes to a tree farm at House Mountain.
The first thing we realized is that there were A LOT of trees. The second thing we realized is that we really should have brought a tape measure.
After about 30 minutes of wandering around trying to guess if a certain tree would fit in our house in the designated spot, we found it. Our Christmas tree. After a little bit of sawing, she was down and ready to come home with us for decoration. Year one was a success, so we'll definitely be back again next year.
